Abstract: This report details research and development put into the ignition controller in place for a two- stroke racing engine. The project involved reverse engineering and documenting a transistor-controlled ignition TCI module currently used on the Yamaha KT engine.
A theory of operation as well as design details of the original unit are discussed. Using the knowledge of the engine, the unit is completely rebuilt to allow a programmable spark advance curve to be implemented.
The new unit is a direct drop in replacement on the engine. Not in Library. Want to Read.
